Directional Statement – Sisters of St. Martha for the next four years 2021–2025

Risking to trust in the future yet to unfold, we Sisters of St. Martha
of Prince Edward Island believe that all of us are called
to do mission together and strive to live in the spirit of our charism.

With Mission as our focus, we commit ourselves to a
Ministry of Presence in its many dimensions
such as contemplation, attentive listening,
communication and the practice of hospitality.

Envisioning all creation as a community of life,
we commit ourselves to grow in contemplative practice,
awareness formation and practical action
to protect Earth and all who live on it.

In pursuit of expanding our mission and charism,
we commit to collaborative partnerships within our ministries,
with our Associates, other Atlantic congregations,
the Charity Federation and Island community groups.
